
Hospice Volunteers Receives $10,000 Award from 100 Women
Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area recently was awarded $10,000 by 100 Women Who Give, a Waterville Area Women’s Club philanthropic event. Hospice Volunteers provides non-medical support to individuals and families during the last phases of life, and support to loved ones throughout the grieving process. In addition, Sexual Assault Crisis & Support Center received a $2,000 award sponsored by Kennebec Savings Bank and Hardy Girls received a $1,000 award sponsored by Fairfield Fresh Laundromat.

Waterville Area Women’s Club and its volunteer members support numerous local charities and service agencies in the Greater Waterville Area, with a focus on those that benefit women and children.

History
In 1887, the Waterville Woman’s Association was formed by a group of women who wanted to help ease the cultural and economic strains of those who had been attracted to Waterville’s mill jobs. Learn more >>
